About NHM-WS 2023
Welcome to the 6th International Workshop on Nonhydrostatic Models.
Nonhydrostatic models and their application to numerical weather prediction and climate study have advanced rapidly in the past several decades. This workshop addresses all aspects of nonhydrostatic models, from large-eddy simulation models to nonhydrostatic global models, and it includes dynamical frames, physics, and data assimilation. Papers on the following topics are also welcome: predictability, and applications to mesoscale phenomena such as tropical cyclones, heavy precipitation, and shallow clouds. Future high-performance computing for meteorological and climate research is one of our great focuses.
The 6th International Workshop on Nonhydrostatic Models will be held at TKP Sapporo Station Conference Center and at the Hokkaido University Conference Hall from 31 August to 2 September 2023. We sincerely look forward to seeing many of you at what will be one of the first post-pandemic face-to-face academic meetings.
